TechNet invites you to join TechNet's co-founders John Chambers, President and CEO of Cisco Systems and John Doerr, Partner, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers for the 2004 TechNet National Innovation Summit. This high-level event will feature the nation's leading visionaries from industry, academia and policy-making and showcase the emerging technologies, industry initiatives and policy challenges that will shape the future. The result will be an innovation agenda of specific federal and state legislative proposals to be implemented in 2005-2006.

America today is the world leader in innovation but this status is not guaranteed. It is increasingly clear that we cannot take our nation's technological and economic leadership for granted. Our global competitors are catching up by investing in education, encouraging entrepreneurship, and making next generation infrastructure a priority. We must fortify our innovation-driven global competitiveness, led by a renewed investment in education, research and development, entrepreneurship and next generation infrastructure.

The TechNet National Innovation Summit will explore the private sector initiatives and public policies necessary to sustain and maintain our nation's global leadership in innovation.
